Is it worth grading Pokémon cards?
Updated October 23, 2026 · By the PullMeter team
It depends on the card, so here's a way to check rather than a recommendation. Grading only pays off when the graded sale price minus fees and shipping beats what the raw card sells for. As of October 23, 2026, PSA's lowest available tier was $59.99 per card and CGC's Bulk tier was $17.00 (25-card minimum).
For scale: of the 3,731 priced cards we track, only 75 have a raw market price at or above $60, and 23 are at or above $180. For most cards, the fee is bigger than the card's raw value. Not every card gets a 10 either, so plug in realistic grades in the grading calculator. Condition basics: condition guide.
