Q&A
What are Pokémon pull rates?
Updated October 23, 2026 · By the PullMeter team
A pull rate is how often a rarity or a specific card shows up in packs. The Pokémon Company doesn't publish official odds for modern English sets, so the best numbers come from large opening samples. For example, TCGplayer opened more than 8,000 Scarlet & Violet packs:
| Rarity | Per pack |
|---|---|
| Double Rare | 13.76% (about 1 in 7) |
| Ultra Rare | 6.57% (about 1 in 15) |
| Illustration Rare | 7.67% (about 1 in 13) |
| Special Illustration Rare | 3.15% (about 1 in 32) |
| Hyper Rare | 1.85% (about 1 in 54) |
