Pull rates & pack structure

The pack-structure numbers above are editable assumptions. TCGplayer describes modern packs as having three foil cards: a rare plus reverse-holo slots. Check the wrapper of the product you're opening.

How it works

Buying singles is usually much cheaper than opening packs to finish a set. Packs are random, so the last few cards you need get harder and harder to pull. Statisticians call this the coupon collector's problem. The shopping list adds up the TCGplayer market price of each missing card, cheapest first. The pack estimate simulates opening packs until every missing card shows up, using the pull-rate and pack-structure assumptions shown. It's an estimate, not a prediction, and nobody can tell you which specific packs to buy. Learn about the master set and pull rates.
